Specific Design Elements & Rationale
Diverse Audience
Workers at all levels were engaged in this training, from room sanitation to facilities management personnel. Part of the challenge was in unifying the content across these experiences.
Affective Domain
Active recall and application were paramount, but there were attitudinal barriers found in the rates of reporting. Part of the goal of the learning was to help employees value reporting across the organization.
Technical Writing
In addition to the what and why, we had to instruct them how to report incidents. This included writing to an 8th grade reading level as well as simple steps involving many layers of technology.
